Happy Weekend, Lovely Links & a Guest Post

Hello lovelies! After such a long week I am more than ready for the weekend! An exciting weekend beckons with our first open house tomorrow; then we will visiting our friends who have just had a beautiful baby. And as an added bonus, I hear the sun will be shining which is a lovely change after the rain, so Charlie will be able to have a good run around in the park!

Here are the lovelies that caught my eye this week...

* Inspiration: get out of your own way & live your best life
* Loving these gorgeous illustrations by Inslee Haynes
* This Berry Crumble looks mouth-wateringly good
* The loveliest {and hippest} British wedding
* Swooning over the stylish home of Minnie Mortimer spied over at Table Tonic

I am also guest posting today for Melissa over at Strong Sense of Style about my dream holiday destination, so I'd love it if you would head over and find out where I would go to escape the freezing cold winter!

Have a wonderful weekend friends,

Wednesday Workspace

This lovely workspace caught my eye today, being immediately drawn  to the beautiful illustrations surrounding the desk area.
Despite it having an overall industrial feel to it, the subtle feminine touches, such as the purple and pink stationery featuring prominently on the desk, make it feel so warm and inviting, don't you think?

Light, bright & lovely kitchen

I stumbled across this lovely kitchen over at Skona Hem and immediately was drawn to the light, bright and lovely white interior. I admit I have a thing for white floorboards, and these, combined with the fabulous pendant light and bright pops of (the chairs, Nespresso machine and artwork) make for an incredible space - don't you think?

See more of this gorgeous apartment here.

Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!

Oh so lovely {shades of blue}

Happy Monday friends, I hope your weekend was splendid! We have been busy at our place, having recently made the decision to move and relocate closer to the city. Our home will be on the market on Thursday, so we spent most of the weekend doing 'fixing up' projects in preparation for the sale. Exciting times are ahead, and I am more than ready for the change!

But today, these gorgeous shades of blue caught my eye; I am definitely craving some sunshine and endless summer days...

\

I hope your week is off to a perfect start lovelies!

Style Inspiration :: the black tote

A black tote is an important classic item in any wardrobe. Finding the perfect carry-all that looks stylish to boot is often a challenge but here are my tops picks:

{one} Chloe 'Marcie' Tote, Nordstrom
{two} Marc by Marc Jacobs Hayley canvas tote, Net a Porter
{three} Diane von Furstenburg Addison Tote, Diani Boutique
{four} Comme des Garcons Extra Large Clover Embossed Leather Tote, Saks 5th Avenue

Only one more day until the weekend! Not that I'm counting ;)

Wednesday Workspace {the glamourai}

Happy hump day my dears! The weather is pretty dismal in Sydney right now, but today's workspace I had to share with you has definitely brightened the mood.

This lovely workspace is the creation of Kelly Framel, the talented blogger & fashionista behind The Glamourai, one of my favourite fashion blogs.

Kelly is lucky enough to work from home and has created an incredible studio space that also doubles as a guest room.
What I love most about the space? How perfectly everything is organised and the clever ways the jewellery is stored; the vintage mannequin is not only a practical way to keep jewellery, it also adds so much character to the space. Hard not to love, right?

See more of Kelly's workspace here.

Sarah Jessica Parker covers the August issue of US Vogue

Ever the SJP fan, I am always compelled to watch any movie she is starring in. In the August issue of US Vogue, Sarah Jessica offers a very candid interview to discuss her upcoming new movie, I don't know how she does it (out in September); and also shares a glimpse into her New York life - a fine balancing act of work and family.

The accompanying editorial, shot beautifully by Mario Testino, is probably one of my favourites so far this year. How eloquently he has captured both the joy of SJP's modern motherhood and her fabulous sense of style; don't you agree?

...And she wore Galliano

Hello lovelies! I must apologise for my lack of posts lately and not being able to visit your blogs, but my new job is proving to be a wonderful challenge, meaning that I haven't been able to master the art of juggling both successfully...yet! It will be this way for the next little while as I adjust, but I will still be popping in from time to time - it just won't be on any regular blogging schedule.

So by now you would have seen Kate Moss's amazing Galliano gown she wore to her recent nuptials to Jamie Hince...

I loved her choice of dress; I thought it was perfectly suited to her style and struck a great balance between a traditional wedding gown and that super-model / fashionista / I'm marrying a rockstar- type-gown.

What did you think about Kate's dress?
